Rose Hill Music Ministries

Rose Hill Choir

The primary goal of the Music Ministry at Rose Hill Church is the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ through music and song. All are welcome to be a part of the music programs which make up our ministry.

The following groups meet on a regular basis during the school year. The choirs and soloists of the church also present special programs for the church family and the community during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holiday seasons.

Chancel Choir: This group is open to all interested singers. The practice time is on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The church choir presents a song in the 11 a.m. worship service each Sunday.

Praise Ringers: From time to time this handbell choir has openings for new members who read music. The practice is on Wednesday evenings from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Experience with handbells is helpful, but not necessary. This bell choir presents a song in the 11 a.m. worship service about once a month.

Belltones: This is the beginning handbell choir in our music program. Anyone interested in learning to play handbells would be welcome to visit this group. Contact the director, Jeanne Harshbarger, for more information. The practice time for this bell choir is on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This bell choir presents a song in worship once each quarter.

Bells of Praise: This is an advanced handbell group that is self directed. This quartet of handbell ringers presents music in worship every few months and for Holiday programs.

The Sunday Singers: This volunteer group is open to any interested singers. This group goes calling on the 2nd Sunday afternoon of each month (at 2:45 p.m.) to visit one of the elderly members of the church who may be home bound or appreciative of a visit from the church family. This is a time to sing favorite old hymns, to read Bible verses, and to share in fellowship. All are welcome.
