Wendy Markham
Director of Children's Ministry
Wendy was born in Montreal, Quebec and grew up about 30 miles north in a small rural area. Her family of nine moved west in 1975, eventually settling in Victoria, British Columbia. Wendy moved to Seattle in 1978 to be married and it was here that a new co-worker shared her faith. "It was a time of new beginnings; a new believer, newly married and, within a few years, the mother of two daughters." She began attending Rose Hill shortly after her children attended the preschool here. Soon she was teaching at the preschool and taking classes in Children’s Ministry. In 2002, she took the position as Director of Children’s Ministries. "Mark 10:15 says that when Jesus blessed the children He said that we must receive the kingdom of heaven like a child. I hope to never be so far removed from children that I loose sight of what that might be like. The Lord is good, my work is fulfilling and if I manage to find any spare time I love to spend it with family and friends on both sides of the border. Now if I can just figure out how to read at the same time!"

Karin Darragh
Director of Preschool
Karin was born in Longview, WA. She is married with three sons, two daughters-in-law and one grandson. Karin attended BCC, (early childhood ed), Northwest Bible College, (Biblical and Sociology studies), and VanGuard University,(child development and curriculum development). She has been a preschool teacher for 20 years and director for 12 years. Her life as a believer in Jesus began when she was 19 years old. Church membership and volunteer ministry involvement quickly followed. As a stay-at-home mother with 3 active boys, her home quickly became the neighborhood daycare center. It was during that time that she discovered the joy of working with very young children. One of her favorite quotes is from Charles Dickens, "I love little children, and it is no small thing, when they who are fresh from heaven, love me." It has been 20 years since Karin first came to Rose Hill Christian Preschool and today she is the director and lead teacher. Her desire for this ministry is to be able to offer the church families and community a high quality program that is Bible-based and reflects God's own love.
In her free time Karin enjoys reading, card making, and painting. She looks forward each summer to hiking and camping with her husband, sons and their families. She is also enjoying her new role as Grandma!
Linda Muilenburg
Treasurer
Linda grew up in Northeastern Oregon in the small town of Joseph, population of about 800. She went to college at Eastern Oregon State College (University now) in LaGrande, Oregon. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business with a specialization in Accounting. "It's been great being able to use my degree in a number of different ways and still be at home most of the time with my two boys, Matthew, 16 and Andrew, 19."
Linda and her husband, Randy, joined the Rose Hill family in November of 1988. They had moved to the Seattle area after getting married in 1984 and began church shopping. Though it took four years to find Rose Hill, no other church felt so much like home.
Linda and Randy have been involved the last several years with an adult Sunday School class named the "Boomers." They've been meeting and studying and fellowshipping on a regular basis. "It's been a great way to get to know others more intimately than a normal Sunday School class and we often have new members-making it a great way to meet new people and get to know them.
In her spare time, Linda likes to walk with friends and read (not at the same time). "It's amazing what you can learn about a friend you thought you already knew if you're faced with a long trail and a blue sky day..."
